Broward Housing Solutions Receives $25,000 from United Way of Broward’s Project Lifeline
Broward Housing Solutions recently received a $25,000 donation from the United Way of Broward County’s Project Lifeline. The funds are dedicated to offering rental and emergency subsidies to help consumers of mental health services avoid homelessness.
“We’re thankful to United Way for recognizing that many consumers of mental health services teeter on the edge of homelessness, especially in this challenging economy” said Lisa Vecchi, President/CEO of Broward Housing Solutions. “We look forward to helping those in need stay in their homes.”
The United Way of Broward County established Project Lifeline to meet the increased demands being placed upon agencies and organizations in our community due to the economic hardships facing so many Broward County families. To combat this dire community problem and maintain stability for children and families in this community, United Way of Broward County set a goal of raising $1 million from the Broward County community and began distributing these funds immediately to provide help and relief.
