Housing Solutions Re-Launches Lease Option Purchase Program

Due to popular demand, Broward Housing Solutions is pleased to announce the re-introduction of a Lease Option Purchase Program, now called "Lease to buy Solutions," for low to moderate income residents with mental illness.  This housing program enables tenants to lease affordable rental housing for up to two years and then assume the mortgage and become a homeowner.

In 1995, this program was a success for 12 new homeowners.  Through the assistance of local government and financial institutions, interest rates and pre-qualification guidelines were created to assist these potential homeowners in having a home of their own.  Their recreation of this program will match qualified borrowers with properties within their price ranges and allow for down payment, closing costs and renovation funds toward homeownership.
