Emergency Rental Subsidy Program

Broward Housing Solutions® administers an Emergency Rental Subsidy Program, which empowers consumers by giving them a choice in the location of their housing. Also, this is a bridge in the continuum of care (COC) from supervised housing to independent living. The program is a partnership of the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Substance Abuse Mental Health Program Office and Broward County Human Services Department to ultimately prevent homelessness.

The Emergency Rental Subsidy Program addresses housing requirements through rental subsidy funds allocated to serve the special needs population via this emergency assistance, offered to individuals who experience a sudden change in life situation necessitating rental assistance.
